My Story

Autumn Jackson has been the majorette instructor for Carter High School Marching Hornet Band since 2016. She is a 2010 alum of Carter High School and was the feature twirler of the Carter High School Marching Hornet Band. A few of her fondest memories in the CHS band program include representing the band her senior year and being crowned the 2009 CHS Homecoming Queen and twirling in London England for the Lord Mayor of London’s 2010 New Year's Day parade. Autumn entered Fall 2010 at Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee where she twirled serving as Feature Twirler from 2012 – 2014.

Autumn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Advertising and became the majorette instructor for the Carson-Newman University Marching Band. Autumn went back to Carson-Newman to obtain her master’s in Education in 2017. While working with both CHS and CNU programs, Autumn also runs her own twirling group Spectra Twirlers. Autumn Jackson is a certified teacher through the Drum Majorettes of America baton twirling organization. Go Hornets!!!
