
Eli Garcia
Eli Garcia is an active percussion performer, educator, and arranger in Knoxville, Tennessee. He recently graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with his Master's of Music in Percussion Performance under Dr. Andy Bliss. A native of El Paso, Texas he received his Bachelor's in Music Education at The University of Texas at El Paso where he performed with the Wind Symphony, Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, and Steel Band under the Direction of Dr. Andy P. Smith.
Eli brings a wealth of experience in the Drum Corps International (DCI) community, having worked with several world-class organizations. He was a member of the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and has taught at Genesis DBC from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Eli is a staff member with the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.
In addition to his DCI involvement, Eli has an extensive background in teaching and developing drumlines at various institutions. He has worked with many high school programs in El Paso, Texas and at The University of Texas at El Paso. Locally, Mr. Garcia has served as a percussion educator and clinician for programs at Clinton High School, Farragut High School, Heritage High School, Seymour High School, and Hardin Valley Academy. Currently, he serves as the Drumline Coordinator at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and is thrilled to add a new role as a Band Director at Carter High School!
